Green River whitewater park
About a month ago the town of Green River, Wyoming reconfigured the last hole in their whitewater park. Last weekend we were able to get on it with excellent flows, and soon thereafter there was an even bigger release from Fontanelle which over-ran the deadmen (_mans?) which were constricting the drop. Here's a few shots from the days we spent on the river.

Gee, more hand surfing | 135 K |
Is it just me, or are there are lot more surfboards on the river these days? We decided to try our hand at it also.

One thing you can definitely say about Green River is that they love their kayakers. They have bent over backwards making this one of the best river features within a day trip distance to Salt Lake City, and they make us feel welcome to an almost embarrassing extent; especially since the first thing every kayaker does as soon as they get there is take a leak in the bushes in spite of the fact that there are excellent restrooms on both sides of the river.
