If you're looking to take a filming kit out in or on the water then this has to be one of the best systems currently available on the market.

The VX360 is also one of the most rugged recording kits we have ever seen with it's specially designed ABS and rubber housing for both the recorder and the camera and bespoke helmet mount.

Both the recorder and the camera are rated down to 3m of water taking really nice quality video at 640 x 480 resolution at 24fps.

The recorder part comes with an arm strap which allows the user to fully operate the device whilst in use. A clear LCD colour screen will show you exactly what you are filming and can also be used to play back your helmet mounted videos.

The camera head is unlike anything we have seen before with a really clever mounting system that can not only be used on just about any helmet but also on a neat head band for times when you are not wearing a helmet. The spherical camera case is the ultimate shape and size for resisting impact. The design allows camera adjustment very much the same as an eyeball rotates in a socket.

After attaching the camera to the mount, the cable is locked into position on the mounting the bracket further locking the camera in place and providing excellent strain relief at the camera entry point

An in-built UV filter protects the camera lens and is also interchangeable.
Inside the camera head are hundreds of Silicon beads that prevent misting up on the inner lens in extreme environments.

The outer case of the recording unit is made of impact resistant plastic and en internal Aluminum chasis to add strength. The VX360 uses a solid state digital recorder to provide battery power and memory card replacement out in the field. You get a USB cable and TV cable for playback.

A waterproof microphone is included in the recorder part for capturing audio. Full record and review control is provided on the recording base unit of the VX360 helmet camera system.

Another great feature of this product is the included software which allows you to easily edit the video footage you have captured and upload it to video hosting sites such as Youtube and Vimeo. A great deal of though has gone in to both the hardware and the software to make it really easy to use so you can focus on the job at hand which is enjoying your sport and looking forward to re-living the whole thing when you get back to the Pub!
