May 10 Social The Kayak Fishing Show with Jim Sammons FB It's Tuna Tuesday. All indications are we will have more of these around this year in paddling distance from San Diego shores. We passed on a lot of yellowtail to chase these instead last year. This was my first Bluefin tuna from my kayak caught in local waters. May 9 Social The Kayak Fishing Show with Jim Sammons FB I just watched the JAL tournament episode of our show, shot here in San Diego. Brought back some great memories of the tournament and of the fish we caught during that week of shooting. I am sure this years tournament will be a huge success again. The event will be held in La Jolla in early September. It is a real fun community event that if in the area you shouldn't miss. May 3 Social The Kayak Fishing Show with Jim Sammons FB This is a lineup of kayaks ready to roll for the Extreme kayak fishing Inc. Battle in the Bahamas. Many different brands of kayaks and fishing gear but there was one item that was pretty constant on the kayaks, I would say 85-95%. That was the YakAttack Visicarbon pro , flag pole with light. I think that speaks a lot for the product as well as the company that makes them. Jackson Kayak Seaguar Fluorocarbon RAM Mounts

May 2 Social The Kayak Fishing Show with Jim Sammons FB So what do you do when the wind is howling and the rain is coming down sideways while on a shoot. Well you go experience some of the local flavor of course. So many good times have been had during some of our worst shoots for fishing. Great to hang with these to guys, Capt-Esteban Gutierrez of Blackbeard Fishing Co. and Luther Cifers from YakAttack. Our show is not all about the fishing, it is the friendships we have made over the years that we will always remember.
May 1 Social The Kayak Fishing Show with Jim Sammons FB Well you have seen it before, New Zealand is a bit sharky. The nice thing here is that the shark was actually turned away once close to the kayak by using the Shark Shield - For Professional Adventurers. This fish got hit deep, beyond the reach of the shark shield, but as the fish was pulled closer to the kayak it let go and did not return. I have seen this device work on a multitude of occasions and I am a believer. Seaguar Fluorocarbon Jackson Kayak Raymarine YakAttack Mustad Hooks

May 1 Social The Kayak Fishing Show with Jim Sammons FB It is so fun to catch fish like Yellowtail aka Kingfish, that can really make your arms burn. May 1 Social The Kayak Fishing Show with Jim Sammons FB One of the great things about making return trips to destinations is getting to fish with friends we have made over the years of shooting our shows. It was great catching up with Jason Walker on our trip to NZ and being there for his biggest ever Kingfish from the kayak. I encourage everyone to travel as much as you can. It is so cool to have friends around the world. Seaguar Fluorocarbon Jackson Kayak RAM Mounts Buff USA
